MODUS is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for a self‑directed professional who is comfortable taking ownership of projects while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities- Design and engineer mechanical systems for a variety of building types, including HVAC, plumbing, and related systems
- Develop construction documents and technical specifications using Autodesk Revit
- Perform energy modeling and system analysis using Trane Trace 700 and/or Trace 3D Plus
- Coordinate with internal engineering disciplines, architects, and external consultants
- Participate in project planning, design reviews, and client coordination
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring as appropriate
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of mechanical engineering experience in a consulting or design environment
- Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit
- Experience with Trane Trace 700 and/or Trace 3D Plus preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team‑based environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
