Engineer II--Municipal Transportation

Overview

HNTB Corporation is seeking a Design Engineer for its Municipal Transportation Section in the Central States Office. The role focuses on designing municipal roadways for a variety of local clients and offers opportunities to work on complex infrastructure projects across the country.

• Complete assigned work within schedule and number of hours provided.
• Responsible for preparation and/or modification of select portions of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
• Develop project quantities and assist with cost estimate development.
• Assist engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.
• Able to self‑sufficiently complete various tasks and duties including research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Basic:
  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree in Engineering and 1 year of relevant experience.
• Preferred:
  Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, Knowledgeable in Micro Station and/or AutoCAD.

• Exhibits proficiency in applying engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
• Displays proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and Micro Station and/or AutoCAD or other required software.
