Talon Recruiting has partnered with leading consulting engineering firm, specializing in mechanical, electrical, and technology engineering for the construction industry in search of a Lead/Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team in Des Moines, Iowa City, or Waterloo, IA.

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer dedicated to creating innovative and sustainable mechanical systems solutions. As a key member of our client's team, you will bring your expertise and passion for design to high‑end commercial and institutional facilities, working closely with other design professionals to bring projects to life.

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for a variety of assignments for the Electrical Engineering Department. You will be provided with opportunities to work on a wide variety of projects, with emphasis on federal, commercial, and institutional clients.

• Undertake feasibility studies, and assist the Department Manager in developing engineering concepts, concept reports, and construction budgets
• Review codes and standards and obtain preliminary approvals where appropriate
• Prepare specifications to supplement drawings in project bid packages
