Responsibilities- Troubleshoots and repairs all avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft
- Communicates with department manager or crew chief on any problems or repairs
- Ensures all work performed is inspected by an authorized repair station inspector
- Prepares various documents for record keeping purposes as required by company policies, FAA approved repair station and quality control manuals, all FAA regulations, OEM aircraft manufacturer manuals, etc.
- Learns, understands and follows the company work order and parts requisition process as written
- Maintains a clean, neat, and efficient work area
- Repairs and calibrates shop equipment as assigned
- Willingness to work on a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanor
- Ability to communicate well in straightforward situations
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Ability to analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, or procedural manuals
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and a desire to work
- Experience working on and troubleshooting aircraft avionics and airframe systems
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145
- Experience working with and repairing the following aircraft systems:
Autopilots, Flight Management Systems, Navigation and Communication Systems, EFIS, Aircraft Electrical Systems, Lighting, Pitot and Static Systems - Any bench repair capabilities preferred
- A&P License / FCC License a plus
Wage Scale: The wage scale for this position ranges from $22.00 to $44.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications and performance. Specific compensation for this role will be determined by several factors including but not limited to; minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience and location.
