The Education Program Consultant (Title V & Risk Assessment) will be an integral member of the ESEA Programs Bureau, providing technical assistance, ensuring compliance, and supporting Local Education Agencies and other stakeholder groups with the implementation of ESEA Program funds.
Your ResponsibilitiesServe as Education Program Consultant in the ESEA Programs Bureau leading the Title V (Rural and Low‑Income Schools) program. This includes reviewing and interpreting federal statutes, regulations, guidance, and policy related to Title V and other applicable federal education programs.
- Providing ongoing technical assistance to subgrantees.
- Managing the collection and reporting of Title V program data.
- Reviewing applications, budgets, and expenditures in the Consolidated Accountability and Support Application (CASA).
- Conducting annual risk assessments in accordance with the Department’s established processes and procedures.
- Monitoring all ESEA‑funded programs for compliance and fiscal accountability.
This position will support the implementation of the Unified Allocation Plan.
- Monitoring and reporting progress on a regular basis.
- Tracking project timelines and deliverables.
- Collaborating with ESEA Programs team members to ensure alignment of each component of the plan.
Participate in comprehensive efforts of the Department and Bureau, including Department, Division, and Bureau meetings, and other assigned work groups.

Desirable Qualifications- Experience utilizing Microsoft Suite.
- Experience in systematic data collection.
- Experience administering and/or supporting Title programs.
- Experience providing technical assistance and professional learning to educators.
- Experience interpreting and implementing state or federal education law.

Hours8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday; some nights and weekends, occasional in‑state and out‑of‑state travel.
