The medical centers offer advanced cancer care services with strong support systems including medical imaging, laboratory services, and pharmacy, all integrated within a collaborative healthcare environment.

Physician - Hematology Oncology

Job Details:

• Coverage needed at both Des Moines and West Des Moines locations
•

Schedule:

4-5 days per week with 8-hour clinic days (8am-4pm)
• Patient contact hours: 6 hours daily
• Inpatient responsibilities at both medical centers
• Clinic volume: 10-30 patients daily with hospital census of 10-15
• Appointment lengths: 40 minutes for consults, 20 minutes for follow-ups
• Outreach services to Newton, Iowa (approximately 6 days per month)
• Telehealth services required
• Services include patient assessments, treatment plans, therapy management, chemotherapy management, pain management, and end-of-life care
• Referrals for ancillary services
• Work with existing providers for radiation and surgical oncology management
• 1:1 nursing support
• EMR system: EPIC
• On-call responsibilities (schedule to be determined)
• Weekend coverage as needed
• No APP supervision required
• Must be Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology
• Must hold an active Iowa license or active IMLC
• Fellowship trained in Hematology & Oncology required
• Experienced providers only
• Must have clean malpractice/background history

Compensation:
