Job Description
We are seeking a  Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist  for a  locum tenens opportunity in West Burlington, Iowa . This assignment includes a combination of  inpatient care, outpatient clinic coverage, and shared call responsibilities , working alongside an established cardiology team.

This role is ideal for providers seeking a balanced locum assignment with clinical variety and strong support from fellow interventional cardiologists.

Assignment Details

Assignment Type:  Locum Tenens

Specialty:  Interventional Cardiology

Practice Setting:  Inpatient, Outpatient Clinic, and Call

Schedule:

Clinic:  Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Call:
Weekday, weekday night, and weekend call (rotational)

Dates of Coverage:  TBD

Clinical Environment

Average Clinic Volume:  15–18 patients per day

Patient Population:  Adult

Interventional Cardiology Coverage:  Yes – additional interventional cardiologists on site

EMR:  Cerner (transitioning to Epic in June 2026)

Key Responsibilities

Provide interventional cardiology services in inpatient and outpatient settings

Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures

Participate in shared weekday, night, and weekend call rotation

Collaborate with cardiology team and hospital staff for continuity of care

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR

Credentialing

Estimated credentialing timeframe:  60–90 days

May be shorter for providers already licensed in Iowa

Travel & Expense Reimbursement
Travel expenses are reimbursed per client guidelines and may include:

Lodging

Rental car

Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate

Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology

Active Iowa medical license  (IMLC not accepted)

BLS and ACLS certification

Self-Query NPDB report required at time of presentation
