College Internship - Safety Management

McAninch Corporation is a leader in the grading and underground utility industry in Iowa and Eastern Nebraska. We partner with a wide variety of clients to provide the groundwork and underground utilities (water, sanitary, and stormwater) for residential and industrial construction projects.

Looking for an exciting opportunity in the construction industry? McAninch Corporation is looking for interns for next summer (May-Aug 2026). Our interns will work with our Safety Team to monitor safe working conditions for our most valuable asset – our employees! Interns will participate in safety audits, coaching, incident investigations, and training. Interns assist in monitoring various construction projects and help assure compliance with relevant government regulations when visiting job sites.

• Current college student pursuing a degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety, or a related program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work outside in hot, cold, and wet conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from job sites as required.
• US Citizenship required. This position is NOT eligible for Visa Sponsorship.

Interns are paid an hourly wage of $18.00 per hour. This temporary position is not eligible for benefits.
