Sheet Metal Estimator​/Project Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Estimator / Project Manager specializing in Architectural Metal, Commercial Roofing, and Metal Panel Systems
. This dual-role position is ideal for a hands‑on professional who can manage both the preconstruction estimating process and project execution for commercial exterior envelope packages. The ideal candidate brings expertise in architectural sheet metal systems, standing seam roofing, ACM panels, wall panel systems, flashing, and waterproofing details
, along with the ability to oversee projects from bid award through final completion.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for architectural sheet metal, roofing systems, and metal wall panels
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs from architectural and structural drawings
• Develop competitive bid proposals and scope clarifications
• Manage awarded projects including budget control, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
• Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and material procurement
• Coordinate with General Contractors, Architects, and Field Superintendents
• Track project costs, manage change orders, and oversee billing
• Conduct site visits to ensure alignment between estimates and field conditions
• Maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control requirements

• 3–7+ years of experience in architectural sheet metal, roofing, or exterior envelope construction
• Proven experience in estimating and/or project management
• Strong knowledge of standing seam roofing systems, ACM panels, metal wall panels, flashing, and waterproofing assemblies
• Proficiency with estimating software (Plan Swift, Bluebeam, OST, or similar)
• Ability to interpret architectural details and building envelope drawings
• Experience managing commercial construction projects
• Strong understanding of material pricing, fabrication processes, and installation sequencing
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
