Our well-established and growing Land Surveying and Engineering firm is currently looking for a Professional Land Surveyor

As a PLS, you'll take/report topographic data, and play a vital role in maintaining client relationships, leading our survey crew, drafting technicians, managing projects, providing training, and ensuring accuracy.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Write descriptions of boundary surveys for use of legal documentation, construction documentation and construction calculations
  • Preparation and review of survey documents of in-house and contract personnel
  • Enter, compute and verify field data and record property information with the aid of CAD work station
  • Prepare construction documents
  • Research and produce sealed survey documents such as Right-of-Way strip maps, easements, legal descriptions and other documents
  • Help solve problems and participate in unusual surveying projects
  • Review office and field work for completeness and accuracy
  • Positive representation of the firm
  • Problem solving, trouble shooting, providing a quality product
  • Monitoring projects from start to finish, interacting with clients
  • Oversee the work for a field survey party engaged in establishing property lines, construction staking, topographic and other engineering surveys
What You Will Need
  • 4+ years of related experience in Surveying
  • Background in Residential and Commercial projects preferred
  • Experience both in office and field
  • Ability to lead and motivate team
  • Need the ability to coordinate with engineers, expertise in construction calculations and construction documentation
  • The mentality and motivation to provide quality work both effectively, and efficiently
  • Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (OR the ability to obtain PLS quickly)
  • Well-developed understanding of surveying process, start to finish
  • Knowledge of field instrumentation is a must, as well as technical software such as AutoCAD Civil3D
