Role DescriptionSafety Coordinator role being advertised is not management, not a union position, is salary based, with weekly hours regularly of 45-50 hours. Being new to safety, or having a few years in would be the target job seeker. This is a full-time Safety Coordinator role that would perform job site audits, basic inventory of PPE, Orientations and Toolbox Talk delivery and basic safety topic delivery to crews are possible.
The Safety Coordinator will assist with health and safety programs, provide or assist with training to ensure compliance with safety regulations, conduct accident investigations, and identify potential workplace hazards to reduce risks. This position would cover Omaha, Nebraska based jobs. This position would have a company vehicle made available. The role involves close communication with the Safety Team, and Site Foreman.
- OSHA 30 within past 5 years
- Fall Protection course work above and beyond OSHA 30.
- Previous experience in construction or a related industry is an advantage
- Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety regulations
- Computer literate, or can quickly learn basic platforms
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a hands-on environment.
- Relevant certifications in safety, such as OSHA certifications, are highly preferred
- Clean driving record (3 years), Clean criminal record
