Business Analyst II

Overview

The Business Analyst II is responsible for analyzing, specifying, and validating the business needs of various internal customers on multiple small to medium scale projects. The incumbent communicates with stakeholders, Product Owners, and defines user requirements to the development team throughout the product life cycle, as well as managing the project.

Job type: Contract to Perm
Salary: $35 - $50 per hour
Work hours: 9am to 5pm
Education: Bachelors

• Supports business by gathering technical requirements.
• Completes data process and system documentation.
• Leads technical communications with Product Owners and business contacts.
• Assists with Software Development Methodology practices including story writing, associated toolsets, etc.
• Manages project coordination.
• Performs other work as assigned.

Education and/or

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in related field of study plus four (4) or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience overseeing the design, development and implementation of software solutions, systems or products required.
• Experience in the Financial Services Industry (Life, Annuity, Investments) preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Effective verbal and written communication, ability to effectively present information and interact in group situations.
• Experience with Word, Excel, Visio and Outlook.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Ability to work cooperatively and successfully with employees, customers, and other outside third parties.
• Experience in JIRA or similar work management tool.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, manuals, and instructions.
• Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations and apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
