Accounts Payable Specialist

GPS Impact is hiring a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing Finance Team. This is a hybrid position based in Kansas City, MO.

We are a full-service public affairs and multimedia advertising agency with broad experience helping progressive candidates, advocacy groups, and organizations use integrated, strategic communications and advertising to achieve their goals. • Process all vendor bills and update all internal tracking systems for GPS Impact and common ownership companies
• Monitor accounts payable emails and respond to vendor communications
• Research vendor discrepancies and reconcile vendor statements for missing invoices
• Set up new vendor profiles in Quickbooks Online
• Process and track all expenses associated with production projects and coordinate with the accounts receivable specialist to ensure they are properly invoiced back to the client
• Categorize all credit card expenses in Quickbooks Online
• Work closely with the administrative coordinator to categorize media team expenses
• Deposit client checks
• Process portions of month end close tasks
• Track and order staff equipment and manage employee apps
• Run payroll
• Contribute to other special projects as assigned

• Quickbooks Online experience
• Ability to respond to urgent, time sensitive requests after regular business hours
• Ability to hold oneself accountable with minimal management and deliver on projects and deadlines
• Extreme attention to detail and deadlines
• High degree of integrity, ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, and maintains confidentiality
• Comfortable operating in loosely structured environments, excelling in prioritizing workload and self-managing projects; demonstrating initiative and juggling multiple, competing priorities
• Outstanding organizational skills

• Previous finance experience at a political firm
• Passion for progressive politics

GPS Impact offers a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k) and paid time off. Starting salary ranges from $75 to $85k and is dependent on experience and location.
