SummaryThis position will be responsible for leading and executing Kraus-Anderson’s business development strategies, objectives and initiatives working within our Des Moines operation and focused on commercial construction projects.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Develop new market initiatives, assess new markets and analyze business opportunities.
- Work with marketing and/or construction groups to align with KA’s growth strategy.
- Identify potential business partners and/or customers; develop strategic relationships.
- Collaborate with KA teams to identify business partners and nurture and develop relationships.
- Develop annual marketing and business development plans.
- Assist in developing key account management plans.
- Prepare annual marketing budget.
- Assist in proposal and interview process and strategy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Be active in related trade associations.
Skills And Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Development, Marketing, Public Relations or related coursework.
- Minimum seven years related experience. Construction Industry preferred.
- Understanding of construction delivery models preferred.
- Experience in the commercial real estate development process including entitlement and financial resources preferred.
- Experience in early project planning including defining scope, schedule and budget preferred.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals.
- Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Ability to possess and maintain an exceptional work ethic and uphold company values, demanding the highest standard of conduct from self and others.
- Creative problem solving and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with customer relationship management (CRM) Systems.
- Valid Driver's License, ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record, and compliance with the KA Motor Vehicle Policy.
