The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of Community Access, Bureau of Eligibility Determination is seeking an Administrative Support Assistant 2 to join our team!
Are you organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping others? The Iowa Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) is looking for an Eligibility Determinations Administrative Support Assistant to provide essential clerical and customer service support in our Polk County office Monday – Friday from 8 am – 4:30 pm
. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and making a difference in their community.
Note:
New hires will start at the base salary of $17.29 hourly, $1,383.20 biweekly, $35,963.20 annually.
- Keep our office running smoothly by coordinating operations and managing supplies.
- Provide friendly, professional assistance to customers and staff
—both in person and over the phone. - Handle important documents:
scanning, indexing, uploading, and distributing mail and correspondence
. - Support team members with administrative tasks and step in as backup when needed.
- Stay informed on policies and procedures through training and meetings.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
. - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service
skills. - Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and navigating Windows
. - Dependable attendance and commitment to confidentiality
. - Occasional travel to assist other offices.
