Job Description
I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.
The Intercompany Accountant will provide the accounting and reporting of Dotdash Meredith’s benefit and deferred compensation plans, including 5500 and 11-K filings, as well as Section 16 SEC filings. The Intercompany Accountant will serve as a backup to the Compensation Accountant who accounts for stockholder’s equity accounts and manages Dotdash Meredith’s relationship with the Stock Transfer Agent and the administrator of the equity purchase and compensation programs.
This position is instrumental in meeting Section 16 SEC deadlines and includes a variety of functions involving interactions with senior management and directors, as well as the legal department. This individual will also assist with accounting for Dotdash Meredith’s pension plans.
II. Essential Job Functions
Compiling, completing, and reviewing benefit plan audits, including 5500, 11-K filings, and all related items.Accounting for Meredith’s restructuring related items including severance plans, other benefit plans, and related reconciliations.Assisting (as backup) in accounting and reporting for Meredith’s stockholders’ equity accounts and completing monthly reconciliations for stockholder’s equity and benefit related accounts.Maintaining data regarding stock ownership percentages and supporting the proxy filing.Completing and reviewing SEC Form Filings including Forms 3, 4, 5.Pension accounting.Performing other functions and projects as assigned.Completing benefit, compensation, and other related items in Meredith’s quarterly and annual filings.III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related experience in an equivalent field.
Experience:
2+ years in a combination of accounting or financial analysis experience preferred.
