We are seeking an experienced Workshop Floor Leader to oversee day‑to‑day operations within our manufacturing workshop in North West, Northern Ireland. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to a highly capable individual with strong electrical and mechanical manufacturing experience, able to lead teams while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Role OverviewThe successful candidate will take responsibility for coordinating workshop floor activities, supervising manufacturing and assembly work, and supporting the delivery of production targets in a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate day‑to‑day workshop floor activities and personnel
- Supervise electrical and mechanical manufacturing and assembly operations
- Ensure production targets, quality standards and delivery deadlines are met
- Maintain a safe, organised and efficient workshop environment
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues during the manufacturing process
- Liaise with engineering and management teams to support production objectives
- Support the training, development and performance of workshop staff
- Proven experience in electrical and mechanical manufacturing environments
- Strong leadership, organisational and people management skills
- Ability to work hands‑on while supervising and supporting a production team
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements and quality control processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Relevant technical qualification (HNC/HND or Bachelors) in Manufacturing Engineering
- Relevant industry experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications
- Experience with PVC welding
- Previous experience in a workshop, floor leader or supervisory role
- Background in industrial or manufacturing settings
