Our OpportunityWe’re seeking an experienced and collaborative engineering manager to lead a software development team.
This role will appeal to you if you are passionate about exposing functionalities through efficient programmatic interfaces and developing developer-friendly APIs that ensure consistency in upstream processes and foster future innovation, all while managing millions of requests and handling large volumes of data.
This is a high-impact, strategic role for a leader who is excited by complex technical challenges. You will be instrumental in evolving our core technology to power the next generation of developer security tools, including our AI-powered remediation capabilities.
What You’ll Do- Lead & Grow:
Manage the full employee lifecycle—from hiring and onboarding to performance reviews and compensation—fostering a culture of support, deep care, and professional growth. - Strategic Direction:
Co‑develop the technical roadmap and long‑term goals in collaboration with Product and Architecture, ensuring team priorities align with and drive strategic objectives. - Execution & Delivery:
Oversee the successful delivery of sprints and quarterly plans, tracking progress, identifying gaps, and communicating course corrections to stakeholders. - Operational Excellence:
Refine agile and lean methodologies to balance delivery speed with product quality, while owning the team’s on‑call rotation and serving as a point of escalation for incidents. - Coaching & Empowerment:
Set clear goals and KPIs that empower engineers to drive their own direction, providing the coaching and facilitation needed to ensure success without micromanagement. - Product Innovation:
Apply Product‑Led Growth practices to the platform, using data‑driven experimentation to measure impact and continuously improve the user experience.
- Leadership
Experience:
2+ years of demonstrated success managing, mentoring, and growing high‑performing engineering teams in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment. - Technical Foundation: A strong background in software engineering with proficiency in Go, Type Script, Java, or Python, backed by a solid understanding of system architecture and design.
- Scale & Performance: A track record of delivering high‑quality, scalable solutions, specifically involving the creation of APIs for internal/external customers and handling large data volumes.
- Complex Problem Solving:
The ability to navigate and solve problems in complex technical environments, ensuring systems can handle large amounts of traffic efficiently. - Collaborative Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills that allow you to thrive in cross‑functional environments, building relationships and incorporating valuable feedback into team plans.
