Overview

Abbey House provides older persons supported living accommodation giving support and care for up to 12 Housing with Care Tenants. It is situated in the city centre of Derry~Londonderry. Abbey provides 24-hour staff support services, 365 days a year.

The role involves providing support and care to tenants in Abbey House, with 24-hour staff presence to ensure safety and well-being for up to 12 Housing with Care Tenants.

• QCF/NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent and 6 months experience in a formal care/support role working with vulnerable adults.
• Must be currently registered with NISCC or, if new to the sector, must achieve registration within 6 months.
• Or 2 years’ experience in a formal care / support role and previous experience of working with vulnerable adults.
• Must be willing to work towards completion of QCF Level 2 Health & Social Care.
• * Formal Care / Support may include caring at home, where the carer is in receipt of Carers’ Allowance. Formal Care / Support may also include voluntary work in a formal setting.
