Senior Accountant

We are hiring for our client, a well-established and growing organisation, who are seeking to appoint a Senior Accountant to their team in Derry
. This Senior Accountant role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of key financial processes, work closely with senior stakeholders, and contribute to ongoing business improvement initiatives.

The successful Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role within the finance function, supporting financial reporting, compliance, budgeting and mentoring junior team members, while enjoying a strong benefits package and genuine long-term career prospects.

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Liaise with auditors and external advisors
• Provide technical accounting guidance to junior team members
• Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support informed decision-making

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification (or equivalent)
• Strong post-qualification experience in a similar Senior Accountant role
• Excellent technical accounting knowledge
• Experience of mentoring or supporting junior finance staff
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive and detail-focused approach
