Classroom Teacher ( SEND ) - SEMH

We are currently recruiting for a Classroom Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in the Dover area, supporting pupils aged 8–17 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and associated conditions such as ADHD and ASD.

This school provides a structured, therapeutic learning environment where smaller class sizes and strong staff support allow teachers to focus on building positive relationships and helping pupils re-engage with education.

This role would suit either an experienced SEN teacher or a mainstream teacher looking to transition into specialist education.

• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
• Teach small classes with additional classroom support staff
• Support pupils’ academic progress as well as their emotional development
• Create a calm, structured and positive learning environment
• Work closely with support staff and pastoral teams to support pupil progress

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• A passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Resilient, patient and adaptable approach
