A well-regarded secondary school in the Hemel Hempstead area is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Subject Leader for Food Technology to lead and develop their Food Technology provision. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of the subject within a supportive school environment that values creativity, practical learning, and student achievement.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving high standards of teaching and learning while inspiring students to develop essential life skills and a passion for food, nutrition, and practical learning.

• Lead and manage the Food Technology curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons
• Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise attainment
• Support and develop teaching within the department
• Manage departmental resources, planning, and curriculum development
• Promote a positive and engaging learning environment

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Food Technology within a UK secondary school
• A strong understanding of curriculum planning and assessment
• Leadership experience or the ambition to step into a leadership role
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• A passion for inspiring students through practical learning
