Assistant Accountant

We now invite applications for the following position based at our Omagh office.

Reporting to the Company Accountant, the Assistant Accountant will provide a key role in assisting with the production of accurate accounting information for the Finance team and analysis of monthly results for the business in general.

• Assist and co-ordinate finance team in preparation of monthly management accounts
• Posting monthly journals and preparing general ledger reconciliations
• Carry out variance analysis versus budget and investigate/explain variances
• Conducting financial analysis and providing insights to support decision making
• Responsibility for compliance (VAT & statutory returns)
• Assist in the preparation of the information required for the year end audit and annual budget

• Will have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role
• Must possess third level finance/business qualification or equivalent
• Must have strong IT skills with experience in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Excellent administration and analytical skills, organised and able to prioritise workload
• Ability to work on own initiative and within a busy team
• Ideally have experience of operating computerised accounting software
