Unit Overview Beds: 8 Ratios: 2:1 Staffing:
Open ICU with mixed patient population; goal staffing 4 RNs 24/7 Equipment: GE B650 cardiac monitors, ventilators, Gaymar cooling EMR:
Meditech Scheduling & Floating Self-scheduling encouraged Every other weekend (EOW) OT available if needed; flexible scheduling Floating: ICU may float to critical care or intermediate care units Patient Care & Experience Focus on AIDET, nurse communication, whiteboard use, hourly rounding Bedside care conferences and handoff Certifications & Experience
Required:
ACLS, BLS, Medical & Surgical ICU experience Preferred: AIBP experience, CCRN ICU RNs respond to Code Blue & Rapid Response Common Procedures Ventilator management, therapeutic hypothermia, PCI/STEMI, IABP, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, TEE/cardioversion, temporary pacer, sepsis, stroke/TPA, DKA Dress Code Professional scrubs (no specific color required) Why Choose This Unit Progressive community hospital with engaged staff Strong leadership focused on AACN Healthy Work Environment Contract staff treated like permanent employees Supportive culture with advanced training and work-life balance
