Job Responsibilities
  • Incorporate appropriate assessments and intervention skills in all interactions and delivery of nursing care.
  • Communicate with patients, team members and management accurately and timely.
  • Document in a complete, timely manner; appropriately use computer charting and ordering.
  • Apply critical thinking skills and consider alternatives.
  • Organize multitask workload, prioritize tasks, and deliver care for multiple patient assignments.
  • Develop and maintain human care relationships.
  • Proficient in triaging according to the Emergency Nursing Association triage category systems and maintain excellent assessment and reassessment to determine the response to medications and treatments.
  • Acknowledge the impact illness/hospitalization has on patients and families; adapt care management for diverse populations and environments.
  • Advocate for the needs of clients and provide care in an ethical and legal manner.
  • Recognize the importance of teamwork among care providers and work well as a team member.
  • Be flexible and able to process much information quickly and correctly, developing a care plan to meet emergent needs of the patient and family.
  • Acknowledge limits of experience and capability, and request assistance appropriately.
  • Verbalize scope of practice for self and others, delegate and assign care, and coordinate care within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Incorporate teaching in delivery of care with a focus on health promotion.
  • Provide information to patient, assess for barriers to learning, use colleagues as a resource as appropriate, and provide counseling about health behaviors.
  • Apply knowledge of the patient populations served within unit; provide age‑appropriate care and apply knowledge of expected norms in planning care (e.g., VS, lab values, assessment).
  • Apply new data to improve care.
  • Collect specimens for POC moderately complex testing according to established policies and procedures.

  • Perform and document instrument maintenance, perform quality control, troubleshoot instruments effectively when appropriate.
  • Integrate technical, psychological, social, intellectual and physical skills.
  • Demonstrate the unit‑specific skills required for assigned role and service area.
  • Maintain required competencies based on high‑risk/low‑volume/problem‑prone areas.
  • Promote internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Build and promote a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Work as scheduled and comply with Attendance and Tardiness Policy.
Qualifications
  • Active NH Registered Nurse license or Compact State Registered Nurse license.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum two years of Cath Lab and interventions experience.
  • Minimum of five years nursing experience.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
