Senior Chemist

Overview

A leading chemical manufacturer is seeking a results-driven leader to oversee projects and guide a team of chemists in the formulation of 2K epoxies and urethanes. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in chemistry and bring a minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment focused on product development of 2K epoxy and urethane adhesive systems. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to product innovation, support scale-up initiatives, and take on a variety of responsibilities within a dynamic and collaborative setting.

• Develops new products (adhesives, conductive pastes, coatings) and modifies existing ones to meet specific customer requirements in electronics and structural bonding.
• Process & Quality Testing:
  Conducts tests on rheological properties, conductivity, particle size, and adhesive strengths.
• Technical Support:
  Monitors products from laboratory pilot tests to manufacturing, ensuring smooth production, and providing technical support.
• Documentation & Compliance:
  Creates Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and ensures compliance with regulatory standards such as REACH, RoHS, TSCA, and Prop 65.
• Scale up formulations from lab to production and support manufacturing trials.
• Manage and mentor a small technical team (approximately 3-4 individuals).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality, and commercial teams.
