As a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the planning and organization of patient activities as determined by assessment of individual patient needs.

• Provides therapeutic groups and activities consistent with the posted schedule. Incorporates seasonal aspects to programming.
• Provides support and/or participation for after‑hour activities, especially on weekends.
• Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Attends treatment team meetings and progress reviews, and identifies discipline‑specific interventions that support the patient’s recovery.
• Conducts individual activity assessments on each patient within given time frames.
• Documents patient progress with therapeutic activities in the patient’s medical record.
• Collaborates with the Program Director to identify equipment and supplies needed for the program; maintains equipment and supplies safely for use and in working order.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Activity Therapy.
• Active license or certification required by New Hampshire: (AAP‑BC) Advanced Activity Professional‑BC, (OT) Occupational Therapist, or (CTRS) Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.
• One year of experience in therapeutic activities in a psychiatric setting preferred.
• Knowledge of psychopathology and the benefits of a therapeutic milieu, group process, and individual goals and objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, and evaluate an activity program for a patient population.
• Demonstrated ability to create activities that foster recovery.
