Assistant to the Dean/Associate Deans of Academics
Contract Period: Full-time, Full-year position, 40 hours/week, non-exempt
Supervisors: Dean of Academics
Qualifications: A.S. or A.A. in a related field with 3-5 years of experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong executive functioning and organizational skills; strong skills in Google Workspace; ability to preserve confidentiality; initiative; positive attitude; ability to work as a team player; follow-through.
Duties- Coordinate and organize dean/associate deans of academics, the sending district meetings and orientation events.
- Assist the dean/associate deans of academics in the course catalog preparation.
- Prepare communications/reports, etc., as assigned.
- Assist and coordinate the state testing process with materials processing and notifications to test proctors, teachers, and students.
- Make decisions and problem-solve in an active office environment.
- Communicate effectively with associate deans of academics, teachers, students, guardians, and the outside public.
- Process, track, and document evidence/paperwork for field trips, department meetings, NHED waivers, workshops, professional learning hours, etc.
- Process orders/payments and monitor the dean/associate dean of academics' budgets.
- Manage calendar and appointments for the dean of academics and the shared associate deans of academics’ calendars.
- Schedule mini-observation and post-observation face-to-face meetings for the dean of academics.
- Assist associate deans with department-specific projects.
- Complete mandatory annual training and attend required workshops.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Dean/Associate Deans of Academics.
The office will be located in the Media Center and will oversee student supervision from 6:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., excluding lunch periods. Duties include managing student sign-in and sign-out procedures and monitoring student behavior. The role also involves building and maintaining positive, professional working relationships with Pinkerton employees.
