Priory Hospital Norwich is looking to recruit a Bank Healthcare Assistant to join the team. This is a bank hours role. We are a 34 bedded acute mental Health hospital which opened in 2020 across 3 wards in the town of Attleborough. The role of Bank Healthcare Assistant is to provide support to our multi-disciplinary clinical team, with the benefit of the additional flexibility in shifts.

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients’ wellbeing. As a Bank Healthcare Assistant, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

• Support qualified staff in delivering individual care plans, assisting with personal care tasks and daily activities in line with healthcare procedures.
• Monitor patient wellbeing, reporting any concerns to senior staff, and assist with delegated interventions such as observations, de‑escalation, and patient escort.
• Contribute to the multidisciplinary team, attend meetings, and help maintain ward cleanliness, stock levels, and infection control standards.
• Foster professional relationships with patients, visitors, and colleagues, ensuring a welcoming and responsive environment.
• Promote high‑quality, person‑centred care that represents value for money and meets the needs of patients and their families.

Experience in a healthcare or mental health setting is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided. The role requires strong teamwork skills, as you will work closely with qualified nurses and multidisciplinary colleagues to support patient care and wellbeing.
