Heating Engineer - Derby (30-Mile Radius)

Salary: £41,000 per annum

Full Time | Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Heating Engineer to join a well-established national contractor delivering heating and hot water services within the social housing sector.
This role covers the Derby area within a 30-mile radius, working on a long-term domestic social housing contract. This is a mobile position; however, all work is restricted to your designated patch, ensuring a manageable and localised workload.
Participation in an out-of-hours rota (evenings and weekends) is required as part of this role.

• Carry out servicing and breakdown repairs on domestic gas heating systems
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs in line with industry standards
• Complete landlord gas safety checks where required
• Provide excellent customer service when working in occupied properties
• Accurately complete all job-related documentation electronically
• Adhere to Health & Safety legislation, Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work
• Manage van stock effectively in line with company procedures
• Participate in an out-of-hours standby/call-out rota (rota frequency dependent on team structure)

• Valid ACS Gas Qualifications including CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1
• Proven experience in domestic service and breakdown environments
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Professional and customer-focused approach
• Experience with in social housing (desirable but not essential)

Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 5:00pm (1 hour lunch)
Plus evening and weekend call-out rota.
