If you are, we have exciting opportunities for enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join our team on Ward 408. We are a 47‑bedded unit that provides care for a variety of patients with cardiology issues.
We accept admissions from the Emergency Department, Medical Assessment Unit, Outpatient Clinics, Cardiac Catheter Suite and other clinical areas.
We are looking for a nurse with cardiology experience to become a valued member of our team. Ward 408 is a supportive and friendly ward where we pride ourselves on excellent patient care.
You will be supported in gaining the experience and clinical skills of CVADs, cannulation, venepuncture, cardiac monitoring and ECGs.
We take a multi‑disciplinary approach with all our patients, providing compassionate, individualized and holistic care. We are closely linked to the Cardiac Catheter Suite, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Cardiac Rehabilitation and Coronary Care Unit.
The ward has a supportive, motivated senior team who have a passion for developing our team and patient care. We are dynamic and open to change to embrace the ever‑changing demands of our busy service.
We offer a supernumerary period supported by our fantastic team and provide insight visits to support you every step of the way from recruitment.
Responsibilities- Provide high‑quality nursing care to cardiology patients in a 47‑bedded ward.
- Conduct CVADs, cannulation, venepuncture and cardiac monitoring.
- Perform ECGs and interpret cardiac findings.
- Collate and transfuse blood products safely.
- Document patient care accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate with the multi‑disciplinary team to deliver compassionate, individualized and holistic care.
