The organisation is a leader in modern, low‑carbon heating and hot water technology, recently investing in a new purpose‑built manufacturing facility in Derby that supports innovation, sustainability and the growth of local employment.
Where You’ll Make Your Mark RoleAs a Manufacturing Team Leader working across a three‑shift rotating pattern, you will play a key role in ensuring that production operations run safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. In this position you will:
- Lead and develop production teams across three rotating shifts, consistently achieving plan attainment, efficiency targets, and exceptional quality outputs.
- Act swiftly to address variances, identify future risks, and ensure continuous production performance.
- Use and maintain visual management tools and quality systems to ensure full adherence to Operations Processes.
- Foster a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across all manufacturing areas.
- Analyse and evaluate business requirements, taking immediate action to eliminate root‑cause issues that impact productivity or quality.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on new product introduction activities, supporting Innovation Processes that bring new ideas into serial production.
- Serve as a role model and ambassador for a high‑compliance, safe, and respectful work environment.
- A relevant management or engineering qualification, or equivalent practical leadership experience within manufacturing.
- Proven experience leading teams of five or more people in a production environment, demonstrating strong people‑development and performance leadership skills.
- Solid engineering and assembly methods knowledge, strong Health & Safety awareness, and confident application of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Additional certifications in Health & Safety or continuous improvement methodologies (advantageous, not essential).
- A leadership approach that is empathetic, structured, motivating, and rooted in responsibility and respect.
- Proficiency using Windows‑based systems, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
