OverviewAre you an experienced CNC Miller looking to join an experience engineering company that offers a high quality, price competitive sub‑contract Machining, Fabrication, Welding & Proof Load Testing services to a large number of prestige engineering clients worldwide. Based in Derby, they produce precision components in a wide range of materials and sizes - all controlled by our quality management system approved to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Their ethos is to help your business perform well and to that end, we have the capability and capacity to provide you with large production volumes and one‑off prototypes in very competitive lead times and at very competitive prices.
- Conversant with Fanuc control panels
- Must be able set and operate (programming advantageous)
- 3, 4 and 5 axis machining
- Working on small batch work
- Working to tight tolerances
- Must be able to inspect own work
- Experience working with various materials such as stainless and mils steel, aluminium and titanium
- Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in CNC milling
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in using a wide range of measuring and inspection tools.
- Background in working to tight tolerances and quality control processes.
- Self‑motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Recognized engineering apprenticeship, NVQ, or equivalent qualification is beneficial.
