Vehicle Technician

Motorpoint is the UK’s leading omnichannel car retailer. We are looking for a Pre‑Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician for our Derby site.

Pre‑Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician.

Derby.

£13.90 per hour basic + Bonus.

Permanent.

42.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 on rota – weekend working required.

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Inspect vehicles and diagnose faults to meet Motorpoint’s quality benchmarks.
• Follow the PDI process, including conducting road tests, to ensure readiness for handover.
• Complete documentation accurately and support vehicle movements as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and collaborate with colleagues across departments.
• Champion health and safety and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Carry out any other ad hoc tasks as required.

• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• A minimum Level 2 motor trade qualification.
• EV qualification is desirable; training will be provided if needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot issues during inspections.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A team player who can also work independently.
• Motivation to meet performance goals and uphold quality standards.
• Organised and efficient in managing workload and priorities.
• Commitment to safety and maintaining a tidy workspace.
