Position: Childcare Solicitor (Permanent)
Family / Childcare Solicitor or Legal Executive – Derby

Har Kaye are representing a leading multi-service law firm with an excellent reputation across Derbyshire and the wider East Midlands, who are looking to recruit a Family / Childcare Solicitor or Legal Executive into their busy and supportive Derby team.

The role:

You’ll manage a varied caseload of family and children running files from instruction through to completion, while working closely with:

* Clients and families

* Local authorities

* Courts and external professional bodies

You’ll also be supported by experienced Paralegals and Legal Assistants, allowing you to focus on fee earning and delivering excellent client care.

What you’ll be doing :

* Managing a caseload of childcare / children law matters end-to-end

* Handling public law matters, including care proceedings (where experienced)

* Advising and supporting clients through sensitive and complex issues

* Drafting legal documents and preparing matters for hearings

* Liaising with local authorities and other relevant bodies

* Ensuring high standards of client care and communication throughout

About you:

* Qualified Family Solicitor or Legal Executive (or equivalent experience)

* Experience in children matters (public law / care proceedings preferred)

* Confident managing your own caseload

* Strong communication and client care skills

* Professional, empathetic and calm under pressure
