Paid on Bank Holidays About the Role We are recruiting an experienced and compassionate Senior Residential Support Worker to join our Ofsted-registered Childrens Home in Derby . This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Senior Support Worker who wants to make a real difference and progress within a supportive, well-structured team. You will support children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, complex needs, or trauma backgrounds, while leading shifts and mentoring staff to deliver high-quality, compliant care.

What Youll Be Doing Creating a safe, nurturing, and stable home environment Building strong, trusting relationships with children and young people Supporting emotional wellbeing, independence, education, and daily routines Leading shifts, supporting staff, and maintaining high standards of care Following and updating care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour strategies Accurately recording daily logs, incidents, and safeguarding concerns Ensuring full compliance with safeguarding procedures and Ofsted standards Supporting inspections, audits, and reviews

What Were Looking For Minimum 1 years experience working in a childrens residential home (required) Experience supporting children with emotional, behavioural, or complex needs Experience leading shifts or supervising staff (desirable) Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted regulations Confident, calm, and emotionally resilient approach Strong communication and leadership skills Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young People (Residential Pathway) or equivalent Additional Requirements Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins Commitment to ongoing training and professional development No sponsorship available Ability to start ASAP Benefits Competitive hourly rate (£13.50 £ 15.20) Free on-site parking Overtime paid on Bank Holidays Casual dress Company events Ongoing training and career development If youre an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker looking for a rewarding role in Derby , wed love to hear from you.
