Derby Salary: £12.95 per hour + £1.50 per hour holiday pay
Hours:
35 hours per week (including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays)
Contract:
Temporary 2 months (chance of extension) The Role:As a Housing Navigator, you will empower and inspire people living in supported housing to achieve their potential through an Advantaged Thinking approach, focusing on strengths, talents and aspirations rather than deficits. You will be part of a dedicated team delivering a compassionate, high-quality and compliant service that supports people to move towards independence, wellbeing and long-term stability.Key
Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high-quality, person-centred supported housing service
- Build strong, trusting relationships with adults and young people from diverse backgrounds, including those who may have experienced trauma
- Advocate for residents, ensuring their voices are heard
- Support and deliver engaging group activities
- Assist residents to prepare for move-on to independent living, including resettlement support
- Safeguard residents by following policies and procedures and responding calmly to challenging behaviour
- Work collaboratively with housing, health, social care, benefits, welfare and advocacy partners
- Support housing management functions such as licence agreements, rent processes, room checks, resident engagement and health & safety
- Accurately record and analyse information using internal systems
- Contribute to a positive, supportive team culture, including lone working where required
- Commit to continuous professional development and reflective practice
- Champion Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in all aspects of your work
- Other reasonable duties may be required to meet service needs.
- A full UK Driving license and access to a car
- Confident using digital systems and technology
- Strong planning and organisational skills, managing competing priorities
- Ability to prepare clear written reports
- Understanding of when to support and when to appropriately challenge
- Proactive, self-motivated and solution-focused
- Confident communicator able to inspire, engage and encourage reflection
- Strong team player who can support and appropriately challenge colleagues
