Adult & Paediatric Crisis Worker – Derby – Bank

Location:

Millfield House SARC, Derby

Salary:
Retainer rates – £30.56 per 8‑hour shift (09:00 Monday‑08:59 Saturday) and £40.24 per 8‑hour shift (09:00 Saturday‑08:59 Monday). Attendance payment: £15.85 per hour for a minimum of 3 hours per case.

Shift patterns: 24/7 rota coverage; 365/6 days per year.

About the Role

The role of Crisis Worker is critical in providing victims of sexual assault with the dedicated support and care required. Acting as the advocate for patients who attend the centre, you will empower service users to feel in control and be able to support during the forensic to manage patient care pathways.

Key Responsibilities
  • 1st point of contact for service users.
  • Support process of service users and their families visiting the centre, including preparing the patient and assisting in the collection of forensic evidence.
  • Ensure that a high standard of DNA anti‑contamination is maintained between forensic cases (cleaning).
  • Assist patients and liaise with other agencies regarding the management of the service user pathway.
  • Assist with preparation, service user support and act as an advocate during their time at the SARC.
  • Be a key player within the SARC team and wider company network.

  • Because the position may be based from one location, additional travel may be required across SARC’s. A UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.
  • Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting will be required.
