We are partnering with a well-established, forward-thinking manufacturing organisation in Derby to appoint a Head of Financial Reporting. The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will lead all aspects of financial reporting, compliance, and control, while developing a high-performing finance team.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Owning monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles

* Leading statutory accounts preparation and year-end audits

* Acting as the main point of contact for auditors and tax advisors

* Overseeing treasury, cashflow, and debt compliance reporting

* Strengthening internal controls and governance frameworks

* Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning

* Managing tax compliance and HMRC relationships

* Producing high-quality reports and board-level documentation

* Leading, mentoring, and developing the financial reporting team

* Supporting pension and payroll-related finance activities

About You

You will be a confident, credible finance professional with strong technical expertise and leadership capability.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

* ACA or ACCA qualification (FCA/FCCA desirable)

* 3–5+ years’ post-qualification experience

* Strong background in IFRS and statutory reporting

* Proven experience managing audits and external stakeholders

* Track record of leading and developing finance teams

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

* High attention to detail with commercial awareness

* Strong systems and ERP knowledge

Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or asset-heavy environments will be highly advantageous.
