Mobile Plant & Access Engineer | Plant Maintenance Technician | Mechanical Fitter - Derby

Salary: £30,000-£38,500 + company vehicle, bonus, overtime at time-and-a-half & extra benefits

Hours:

42.5 per week, Monday-Friday

Are you a skilled Mobile Plant Engineer, Plant Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Fitter, or Access Equipment Engineer ready to take ownership of a busy depot fleet? We're looking for a hands-on professional to inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical plant and access equipment-from 17m telehandlers to Bomag 55 rollers.

What You'll Be Doing:

Inspect, test, maintain, and repair a wide range of fleet equipment as a Plant Mechanic or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Identify faults and damage, provide cost estimates, and advise on repairs
Keep accurate service records and update stock in the workshop
Assist with deliveries and collections as needed
Work alongside a team of Mobile Engineers and Plant Technicians

About You:

Experienced in plant maintenance, mobile plant servicing, and access equipment repair
Able to work accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines
NVQ in Plant Operations (or willing to complete) is a bonus
Full UK driving licence
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Mechanical Technician, or Access Equipment Engineer is highly desirable
