Civil​/Structural Design Engineer

Our client, a successful Company based in Derby are seeking an experienced Civil / Structural Design Engineer to join their well established, supportive team.

The successful candidate will be involved in the design and delivery of civil and structural engineering solutions across a variety of projects, working in accordance with British Standards and Eurocodes.

Starting salary flexible depending on experience, up to around £43k.

Key Responsibilities of Civil / Structural Design Engineer position to include:

• Carry out civil and structural engineering design and analysis.
• Prepare design calculations, technical reports, and specifications.
• Produce and review structural drawings and details.
• Design using reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, and timber where applicable.
• Ensure designs comply with BS and Eurocodes and relevant UK regulations.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other design team members.
• Respond to technical queries and provide support during construction.
• Attend meetings and site visits as required.

The ideal Civil / Structural Design Engineer will have:

• Experience in a civil or structural engineering role.
• Experience working in accordance with British Standards and Eurocodes.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Experience with structural analysis and design software (e.g. Tekla, Tedds, Cads, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
• Ability to work as part of a team and using own initiative.
• Strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with BIM processes and coordination (desirable.)
• Full UK driving licence (essential for site work).
