Ready to take real ownership rather than simply deliver tasks? This Senior Civil Engineer opportunity in Derby offers responsibility, client exposure and clear progression within a growing civil engineering consultancy.

A well-established consultancy is strengthening its residential and infrastructure capability across the UK. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will manage projects from concept through to technical approval and delivery, leading drainage design, Flood Risk Assessments and infrastructure packages across multiple schemes.

This Senior Civil Engineer role involves coordinating with clients, local authorities and design teams while maintaining programme control and technical quality. The Senior Civil Engineer will take responsibility for approvals, reporting and design delivery while mentoring junior engineers within the team.

Key responsibilities

* Deliver civil and infrastructure designs for residential developments

* Prepare and secure S38, S278 and S104 approvals

* Produce Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies

* Use Civil 3D or Causeway PDS with Flow or Micro Drainage

* Manage programme, deadlines and quality control

Candidate requirements

* Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or similar

* Five to six years' UK consultancy experience

* Strong knowledge of drainage, highways and planning standards

* Working toward or recently achieved chartership

* Confident managing projects and client relationships
