You'll be working as a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer, supporting the design and development of mechanical systems and components from concept through to detailed design.
This role offers a balanced mix of office-based design work and collaborative project involvement, working closely with senior engineers, manufacturing teams, suppliers, and customers.
Your Role As a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer Will Include:
* Assisting in the creation of design concepts, layouts, and engineering solutions
* Producing and updating 3D models and detailed drawings to industry standards
* Supporting the preparation of Bills of Materials (BoMs) and technical documentation
* Assisting with engineering calculations to verify and validate designs
* Participating in internal and external design reviews
* Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to support efficient and cost-effective design solutions
* Supporting senior engineers throughout the full design lifecycle
* Working within company procedures and quality standards
As a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer
You Will Have:
* A Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
* A good understanding of mechanical engineering design principles
* An interest in developing skills across design, analysis, and manufacturing processes
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
