NOTE:

This job will give you experience of automotive hydrogen combustion engines.

We are currently recruiting for a several talented Mechanical Design Engineers to join a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation near Derby.

Required:

Mechanical Design Engineer

* A good degree coupled with at least 1-2 years of mechanical design or mechanical development experience involving the solving of complex engineering problems using engineering fundamental principles.

* Experience of the design of moving parts - dynamic mechanical systems (e.g. electric motors, engines, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, machinery, etc) is preferred

* An interest or experience in automotive combustion engines (hydrogen / ICE / hybrid)

* An appreciation of some of the following; product specifications, product requirements, analysis, test / validation procedures, FMEA, 8D, and / or DVP processes.

The positions are open to junior engineers with a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and the ability to apply them to a broad range of complex engineering problems.
In this role, you will be responsible for systems design of complex mechanical systems for use in high-volume applications (such as automotive engines – diesel, hybrid and new hydrogen technology).

Note:

This is not a detailed level CAD design role.
You will need to have a strong understanding of engineering principles and be able to design components to meet specific requirements.

Required:

Others: (Beneficial) Mechanical Design Engineer

* An interest or experience in automotive combustion engine design / development (hydrogen / ICE / hybrid)

* Able to develop product specifications and test and validation plans / requirements.

* Experience with FMEA, 8D, and / or DVP processes.

* Experience of working as Mechanical Design Engineer in the automotive industry would be advantageous.
