Are you an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in Derby?

Smart Education is partnering with a variety of primary and specialist SEN schools across Derby who are seeking dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistants to support their pupils.

We have opportunities in both mainstream and specialist provisions, supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and moderate to complex learning difficulties.

• A range of flexible roles to fit around your availability
• Positions in mainstream and specialist SEN settings
• 1:1 support, small group interventions and general classroom roles
• Long-term placements with potential permanent opportunities
• Supportive school environments and strong leadership teams
• Ongoing guidance from Smart Education

As a Teaching Assistant, you may:

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
• Deliver targeted interventions to small groups
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
• Encourage independence, confidence and engagement

• Caring, patient and resilient
• Confident supporting behaviour and engagement
• Experienced working with children or young people (school or SEN experience preferred)
• Passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential

A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one), and we must be able to obtain recent references.
