This established construction group operates multiple successful businesses across building, facades, cladding, and manufacturing. The role sits within their traditional building arm, which delivers masonry-led projects and works closely with a small, tight-knit commercial team. The business has recently refreshed its company values and is focused on long-term, sustainable growth with the right people in place.

In this role, you will support the pre-construction and estimating team, assisting with measurements from drawings, pricing, supplier liaison, and tender support. You will gain exposure to multiple live projects while developing strong core estimating skills, with the opportunity to progress into Estimator and Senior Estimator roles over time. Training is fully supported and can be tailored depending on whether you wish to follow an estimating or surveying route.

The ideal candidate will be organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working independently, with strong Excel skills and a genuine interest in construction.

The Role:

Supporting the pre-construction and estimating function
Measuring quantities from drawings
Assisting with pricing and tender submissions
Working across multiple projects simultaneously
Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
Attending tender and project meetings when required
Supporting lump sum pricing and bill preparation
Clear training and progression

The Person :

Strong IT and Excel skills
Methodical, organised, and detail-oriented
Interest in construction, estimating, or commercial roles
Comfortable working independently and managing own workload after training
Good communication skills and professional attitude
Aligned with values such as trust, respect, integrity, and passion
Based within commutable distance of Derby
