Vehicle Strip Fitter

Barker Ross are recruiting for one of the largest handlers of new and used cars in the UK. They specialise in remarketing, logistics and support services for the automotive industry, handling new and used vehicles from manufacturers, fleets, and dealers, including auctions, fleet management, refurbishment and transport. They have an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Strip Fitter to report into the Body Shop and Operations Manager based at their site in Corby.

The hourly rate for the role is £13.69 - £14.92 per hour and the hours of work are Monday to Friday, 6:00am-2:00pm.

The Role Within this role, you will be working as a part of an experienced bodyshop team, ensuring our vehicles are finished to the highest standard for our customers, under the support and guidance of the supervisor and Bodyshop Manager. Responsibilities Stripping and fitting panels Carrying out repairs to restore vehicles to their original condition in line with approved methods Removing parts and panels off a range of vehicles Ensuring that all nuts, bolts, screws and any other fixings are labelled and correctly stored ready for when the stripped parts and panels are needed to be put back on to the vehicle.

Supporting bodyshop team within other departments if required Training bodyshop trainee staff Skills and expertise Previous experience in a similar role Full UK Driving Licence Willing to support junior techs and offer support/expertise when needed.
