Location: Denville, NJ
Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with NICU and ICU experience to join our night shift team. The ideal candidate will have recent acute care, in-hospital experience and demonstrate strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced critical care environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive, high-quality nursing care to critically ill neonatal and/or ICU patients
- Monitor patient conditions, assess vital signs, and respond promptly to changes in patient status
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with patient safety standards, infection control practices, and regulatory requirements
- Support patients' families through education, communication, and emotional support
Education & Experience:
- Active and unrestricted RN license (State of New Jersey or compact license)
- Must have NICU experience (ICU RN background required)
- Recent acute, in-hospital nursing experience preferred
- BLS (AHA) - Required
- NRP - Required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to function independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
