We are representing a world class, multi-billion dollar industrial manufacturing organization that, due to a promotion, is seeking to hire a Material Planning and Logistics Manager (MP&L). Reporting to the Vice President and General Manager, this role will lead planning, materials, and logistics functions for a large, complex manufacturing site in New Jersey. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the site’s planning, materials, and logistics teams, with accountability for execution, performance, and talent development (10+ direct reports)
  • Own the master production scheduling process, ensuring alignment between customer demand, production capacity, material availability, and labor constraints
  • Drive demand and capacity planning processes, balancing long-range forecasts with short-term execution needs
  • Partner closely with Operations to address schedule attainment, throughput, bottlenecks, and production constraints
  • Serve as the primary interface between customers, manufacturing, and internal stakeholders on delivery commitments and schedule changes
  • Oversee inventory management strategies, including accuracy, turns, excess, and obsolescence reduction
  • Develop and track key performance indicators including OTD, forecast accuracy, inventory metrics, and planning efficiency
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning discipline, process standardization, and waste reduction
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of supply chain, materials, or planning leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience owning or leading master scheduling and production planning functions
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, demand planning, and capacity planning principles
  • Experience leading and developing teams in fast-paced, operationally complex environments
  • Comfort working cross-functionally and influencing without direct authority
  • Experience using ERP systems and planning tools to support execution and reporting
