As an IT Support at Generation Auto Group, you are responsible for supporting the day-to-day technology needs of our dealerships. You play a key role in ensuring employees have the tools, access, and technical support needed to perform their jobs efficiently. Your work directly supports dealership operations by maintaining computer systems, assisting with user access, troubleshooting basic technical issues, and helping keep our technology running smoothly across all locations.
This position will be based out of Rock Ridge Nissan & Infiniti, with occasional travel to Nutley Kia and other local dealerships within our group as they are added.
Your Impact User Access & System Support- Create and manage user logins and permissions for dealership systems, email accounts, and internal platforms
- Reset passwords and assist employees with account access issues
- Set up and deactivate user accounts for new hires and departing employees
- Assist employees with basic system navigation and troubleshooting
- Set up and configure new computers, laptops, monitors, and peripherals for employees
- Install and update basic software programs as needed
- Assist with workstation moves, desk setups, and equipment replacements
- Maintain an inventory of computer equipment and accessories
- Troubleshoot printer issues, connectivity problems, and basic network concerns
- Assist with internet connectivity and workstation access issues
- Help resolve basic technical problems related to hardware, software, and peripherals
- Coordinate with IT Manager or vendors when more advanced support is required
- Respond to basic IT requests such as login issues, equipment problems, and software questions
- Support dealership staff with day-to-day technology needs across departments
- Assist with maintaining organized documentation of systems, equipment, and user access
- Travel between dealership locations as needed to provide on-site technical support
- Maintain a clean and organized IT workspace and equipment storage area

Who You Are- Hold a valid and clean driver’s license
- Comfortable working with computers, printers, and basic technology systems
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and troubleshooting
- Experience with user account setup, password resets, and workstation configuration (a plus)
- Punctual, reliable, and self-motivated
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Comfortable assisting employees with technology questions and support requests
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Able to lift and move computer equipment, monitors, and printers (up to 50 lbs)
- Able to travel between dealership locations when needed
- Willingness to learn and grow in the IT field
